WHAT ARE THE BIGGEST OBSTACLES TO EV ADOPTION IN EUROPE?
Source: | Author:佚名 | Published time: 2022-12-15 | 56 Views | Share:

Electric mobility is crossing the chasm. The industry could see an exponential rise in EV adoption if main barriers such as more affordable price ranges for electric cars, uncertainty of charging availability and too much time to take for charging are removed. Four out of ten European citizens see electric cars as an important element to combating climate change.

These are some of the initial findings from this year’s edition of the EVBox Mobility Monitor – market research report on EV adoption conducted alongside Ipsos. The research is supported by responses from over 4000 European citizens across four countries: the Netherlands, France, Germany, and the UK.

ACTION AND COPERATION IN OUR PLANET

The UN Climate Change Conference COP27 opened on 6 Nov 2022 at Sharm el-Sheikl, Egypt with the key aim of ensuring full implementation of the Paris Agreement.

According to the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, CO2 emissions need to be cut 45% by 2030, compared to 2010 levels to meet the central Paris Agreement goal of limiting temperature rise to 1.5 degrees Celsius by theend of this century.  This is crucial to avoid the worst impacts of climate change, including more frequent and severe droughts, heatwaves, and rainfall.

“Everybody, every single day, everywhere in the world, needs to do every things they possibly can to avert the climate crisis” Said UN Climate Change Executive Secretary Sime Stiell.

“COP27 creates a unique opportunity in 2022 for the world to unite, to make multilateralism work by restoring trust and coming together at the highest levels to increase our ambition and action in fighting climate change” said Mr. Sameh Shoukry, Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs and COP27 President.

In order to meet the challenge of world climate change, everyone in the world needs to work together everyday to avoid the climate crisis.
